Home Energy Scotland offers grants of up to £9,000* towards an air source heat pump. Here is how it works — and how we help you claim it.
If you are thinking about replacing an old oil, LPG or gas boiler with an air source heat pump, there has never been a better time. Through the Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan (part of the UK Boiler Upgrade Scheme), homeowners can claim a substantial grant towards the cost of a renewable heating system.
How much can I get?
You can claim up to £9,000* as a non-repayable grant towards an air, ground or water source heat pump — a standard grant plus an uplift for eligible rural and island homes. On top of that, an optional interest-free loan is available to spread any remaining cost. *Amounts may vary per project.
Who is eligible?
You need to own the property, have a valid EPC with no outstanding recommendations for loft or cavity wall insulation, and be replacing a fossil-fuel system. The installation must be carried out by an MCS-certified installer — which is exactly what we are.
